What must be provided to me for accessibility at public places and events? This is a list of just some of the more common places and what they must provide:

Public Schools

State and Local Colleges

Lodging Facilities (Hotels, Motels, etc.)

Hospitals and Nursing Homes

Doctors

Theaters, Entertainment Facilities & Other Public Places

911 and Other Telephone Emergency Systems

State and Local Government Agencies

Social Security Administration

Police and Law Enforcement Agencies

State and Local Courts

Products not covered by the ADA
  • Personal use products or services are not covered by the ADA and must be supplied by the individual.
  • Examples of personal products & services are hearing aids, wheelchairs, a feeding service, a dressing service, etc.
