Walk4Hearing is the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) community of support in action, breaking down barriers and empowering people with hearing loss. Our Walks bring hope to people across the U.S., helping them discover they are not alone in facing the challenges of hearing loss.
Walks bring teams of family and friends together to raise funds for hearing health and support people on their journey with hearing loss. Join HLAA Kentucky Chapter, hearing care professionals and nonprofit and business partners committed to helping every person with hearing loss thrive on September 22 at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville.
Effective communication in medical situations is essential for timely and appropriate treatment. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, medical providers have an obligation to provide effective communication for all deaf and hard of hearing patients, including their companions. The Hospital Communication Kit will help you to advocate for your communication needs.

The Parent Circle is a place where families can thrive and grow – and celebrate the joy our deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, deaf disabled and deaf plus children bring to this world.
The Online Portal to request an absentee ballot will be open on September 21st through October 22nd.
All mail-in absentee ballots must be received by 6:00PM Local Time, on Election Day, November 5, 2024 to be counted. Voters are highly encouraged not to wait until Election Day to hand deliver their absentee ballot. Cast your ballot as soon as you receive it. Do not delay!
Drop boxes are available in each county to hand deliver your ballot. To find out where the drop box is in your county, voters should visit the State Board of Elections website.
Deaf Health Fair & Beyond is dedicated to empowering the deaf community through education, resources, and support. Join them to explore innovative products, engage with experts, and celebrate our vibrant community. It will be located at Cincinnati State Community College on September 28.

The tenth annual event supports recovering people and their families and honors those lost to substance use disorder with speakers, memorials and on-site resources. Together we can make a difference! ASL Interpreted Performance "Into the Woods" at the Woodford Theater on Saturday October 5th at 7:30.
Adults $26, Students $18. Interpreters will be located in-house on the left side; therefore, all patrons needing ASL interpreting should purchase tickets on the left side of the theater.

This is a closed event for Deaf and Hard of Hearing folks, looking for a sense of community and healing. The retreat is FREE and will include hiking, riding the "sky-lift" and sharing meals together (A brown-bag lunch, hiking snacks, and dinner). Peer Support Specialist Ron will also lead a meditation at the Natural Bridge.
Costumes are encouraged but not required. Prizes will be given for best eras-themed costume and best group/table eras costume. Medieval Times, the Roarin’ 20s, Swingin’ 60s, a Swiftie…the choice is yours! Reserve your tickets now! All proceeds benefit Kentucky Hands & Voices.
